"A positive and effective Board-Superintendent relationship sets the tone for the entire school community—from the administrative team to the instructional staff, from the parents to the students. When the relationship works well, schools run smoothly, and great things can be accomplished. And the Board President is a critical factor in that partnership."
Dr. Lawrence S. Feinsod NJSBA Executive Director Emeritus
Active, engaged Board Committees are the engines of high-functioning school boards. Committee Meetings are the working and learning meetings of the Board, with work divided into categories that provide members an opportunity to study and review issues within the committee’s scope of responsibility in greater detail than possible at the entire board level. Each committee consists of 3 Board Members plus the Board President. Committee meetings focus on topics being discussed within the named committee, and serve as the starting point for policies, initiatives, or planning, and make recommendations for action by the Full Board at Regular Board Meetings.InstructionStudent & Community Affairs
