    As you probably know, the majority of voters in Somers Point approved the Somers Point Schools bond referendum. On behalf of the Board of Education and administration, I want to take a moment to thank you and all the District’s advocates for supporting the referendum. Most important, thank you for your unwavering commitment to Somers Point Schools and our mission to provide a stellar education to our students.  

     

    All of our schools are in critical need of no-frills upgrades. Bolstered by funding from the state, we believed this was the right time to ask our citizens for the needed improvements. We’re elated that the citizens of Somers Point showed their support yesterday, and know it was only possible through the dedication and hard work of our staff, parents/guardians, and community supporters.

     

    The administration and board made a special effort to reach out to our constituents to be certain everyone was educated and informed about the referendum, and to address any concerns and answer questions, despite the difficult timeframe.
